For my first portfolio piece I decided to push my sub-d skills aswell as texturing. I decided to create a old WWII signal lamp, specifically the Pertrix No 646. I used a variety of techniques to achieve the detailed and worn painted case, including hand painting and photo-sourcing for use as stencils in Painter. Alphas and stickers were made by me in Photoshop. I'm proud of how this project turned out, and I'm excited to incorporate what I've learned into future projects.
(I leveraged Blender for efficient packing of my UVs using UVPackMaster3, the piece was rendered in Marmoset, and Megascans assets were used for the set dressing of the diorama.)
